Autumn Term 2015

Welcome back!

It's been a fantastically busy start to the new school year with lots of new pupils signing up.
It's also been wonderful to see all the old pupils and hear of their Summer holiday and see how much they have grown!    Subsequently our uniform shop has been very busy and should you ever wish to purchase uniform or shoes then this can be done through us.

As well as lots of new pupils we also have some new teachers and would like to welcome Liesl Dowsett, Katie Moore,  Harri Baker and Lorna Savory to the Butterfly Ballet faculty.  All are qualified RAD teachers and we are delighted to have them on board. We will be highlighting them over the next few months.

If you are not yet a member of Butterfly Ballet but wish to take a trial class then these can be taken at any point during the term, just email info@butterflyballet.co.uk for more information.

We have lots of new classes and teach in Barnes, Putney, Wimbledon and Clapham Junction so hopefully there is a class that is suitable for you.

Summer drop in classes

If you are at a loose end over the long Summer break and looking for an activity then do join us for our Summer drop in classes.

These classes are pay as you go and are held every Wednesday afternoon at St Osmund's Church Hall, 77 Castelnau, SW13 9RT

You do not need to be a member of Butterfly Ballet and no further commitment is required.
If children have a Ballet outfit then it would be good to wear that, or if not then anything they can move easily in, also non slip socks or bare feet.

Timings are -
3.00 - 3.30pm - Baby Ballet - 20mths - 2.5 years   - £7.50
3.30 - 4.00pm - Nursery Ballet - 2.5 - 4 years        - £8.00
4.00 - 4.40pm - Junior Ballet - 4 - 5 years             -  £8.50

Summer Workshops

Well with Summer well and truly in the air we'd like to share the workshop we are doing this year - The Wizard of Oz!

 Available for children age 4 - 7 years, the workshop offers a wonderful Summer activity. Running for 3 hours it involves arts & crafts, stagecraft and dances based on the popular film.  

Children bring a packed lunch and the workshop finishes with a little demonstration complete with hair and make up and the all important glitter spray!

Our first show - Cinderella!

We are very excited to announce that on Sunday July 5th over 100 pupils from Butterfly Ballet and our sister company The Barnes Musical Theatre Club will be performing in our first proper show - Cinderella.

Rehearsals are well underway and it's Cinderella with a twist, she lives in an orphanage... cue songs from Annie and other such delights!

We feel this is a wonderful opportunity for the children to get their 1st taste of performing and look forward to sharing photos and further information shortly.

New classes in Wimbledon - starting Summer 2015

We are excited to announce that we have been asked to teach at Eddie Catz in Wimbledon.
These classes will start after Easter and timings are -

Monday:
3.30 - 4.00pm - Nursery Ballet - 2.5 - 4 years
4.00 - 4.40pm - Junior Ballet - 4 - 5 years
4.40 - 5.30pm - RAD Primary - 5 years +

If you would like to attend a trial then please do get in touch. We have a wonderful partnership with Eddie Catz and looking forward to bringing our classes to Wimbledon.
